We need to choose an activity for Saturday. Do you like sports?

Not many sports, but I do like golf.

I did like it when I was younger, but not now.

It’s just too expensive. I don’t want to spend a lot this weekend.

True, it does cost a lot to play at some places.

Exactly, and we’re trying to plan a cheap day out.

There is a small public course near my house. It isn’t very expensive.

That sounds better. I do want to try golf again.

I do cook a lot, especially during the week.

Just easy stuff, like pasta dishes, soup, and rice. And you?

I don’t cook much. I do cook breakfast, though.

Really? I never cook breakfast. I’m always busy in the morning.

I usually make eggs or toast before work.

That sounds nice. My husband does make me pancakes sometimes, though.

Pancakes are great, but they take more time.

They do, so he usually makes them on Sunday.

Maybe I’ll make pasta tonight. That sounds easy enough.

I do watch a lot of TV in the evening.

I watch dramas. I like stories with interesting characters. And you?

I rarely watch TV. I do watch the news sometimes, though.

How depressing! The news always makes me feel sad.

Yeah, it does get depressing sometimes.

Then why do you watch it?

I like to know what is happening, and I need the weather report for work.

That makes sense. I do check the weather every morning.

My children might visit, so I’m preparing the guest room.

I do have kids, but they are all grown now.

They did live near me, but they moved for work.

I do, but they do still visit a lot, though.

I did see them. We had a really nice time together.
